Finally...some pictures in my post!

Happy Tuesday WORLD!

I went to bed a little later than normal last night (around 1130 pm); typically I am out no later than 10pm.  But, at 5 this morning, the alarm went off.  I. DID. NOT. WANT. TO. GET. UP.

I was absolutely exhausted, but I got my clothes on and went to the gym.

LUCKILY, it wasn't an actual WOD today, although I did leave drenched in sweat and I am already a little sore.

We got a lesson on the perfect snatch.  Then we proceeded to perform this movement in steps at repetitions of 30 which we built on and did almost as a super sets for muscle memory.  It went something like this:

30 push press
30 snatches (just the top movement)
30 back squats
30 overhead squats
30 full hang snatches

For the rest of the time we just did 30 reps of whatever we were told. Overall, we did well over 200 squats.

I came back to the house and had a nice hearty breakfast with some business associates/house guests who are visiting from out of town (I cooked at home), got ready for work, and headed out.

I debated going back later in the afternoon to do the actual WOD, but after working all day and having plans for a business dinner this evening I decided to keep my load light.  I am not sure where our guests are going to want to go for dinner; maybe Mexican.

I know you are probably thinking, "Mexican??"

There is a restaurant here that has this lovely lamb soup served its own broth along with a whole green pepper.  It is SOOOOOOO GOOD.  And they have lots of meat!  So, we will see how that one goes.  I will be sure to post back later on; but for now.......

Food Journal:

POST WOD:  1 Steak Brochette (to medium) with onion and green pepper cooked in coconut oil (on the stove in a covered pan) and seasoned with a sprinkle of ground cloves and cracked black pepper, 1egg/2 egg whites (approximately), 1/4 avocado, 1 fat tomato slice, and 3 grapes (halved).

Meal 2:  Apple and 2 oz raw almonds

Meal 3:  Avocado with Ground Beef Saute with onion, green beans, and tomatoes cooked in coconut oil, sea salt, pepper, and ground cloves (it is almost gone!  But it is soooooo yummy!)

Meal 4:  Blueberry and Strawberry whole fruit smoothie (no sugar, just with water and ice)

Meal 5:  I ate at the Mexican place after all and had mixed seafood, onions, green peppers; with guacamole.  YUM!

This is my enormous feast of mixed seafood served in a cast iron pig bowl.  One could definitely feel like a pig while gazing at all the food in front of them.  I shared the wealth. I was a polite pig.

continued......

This place is absolutely fantastic.  The food is phenomenal and the place is so warm and cozy.  There is also a feast for the eyes; the walls are adorned and in most places almost completely covered by artisan crafts and pictures.......

SUGAR SKULLS!

This room is so cool!  It is chocked full of all types of treasures!

I really like this...the war against good and evil.

So, after dinner and saying goodbye to my boyfriend we decided to go out for a bit.
My Boyfriend.  He is so handsome!

We went into this casino and the door guy asked us if we had an invitation.  We said no.  He let us in.

At the front door there were Lexmark girls standing by a big Lexmark banner, wearing skin tight skinny jeans, futuristic hair and makeup and Lexmark airbrushed shirts.  Across from them stood 2 guys, one on each side of another sign, shirtless and in jeans with huge airbrused tattoos splashed across their chests.

Apparently, it was some intimate concert with a popular band (I had never heard of them) and they were sponsored by Lexmark.

On the way to use the bathroom, I commented to my friend how it was the first time I had ever been in a real casino and how it reminded me of a bowling alley.  I think it was the carpet and weird lighting.  It also smelled a little like an old ashtray.

After about 15 minutes we left.

We hit up a karaoke bar where we were the only people in it for about and hour and a half.

In order to sing you had to purchase a drink to get a ticket.  Tricky.  Since none of us drink, we had bottles of water and cokes.   But, with each one we ordered, a ticket was delivered with it.  A ticket that could fulfill our hearts' desires......we got to flip through the book and pick the song that would change our lives and make all of our dreams come true.

I ended up singing 3 songs with my friend.

TLC's "Waterfalls"

Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" (I am trying to upload it, but this site is being difficult).

And lastly, I kind of mumbled out a Toni Braxton song.  Whatever.  But we killed Survivor (although it ended rather abruptly and I was highly disappointed.).
